George Town: The Penang Press Club is now accepting applications for its 2026 Study Grants and University Awards for members' children. The awards will be presented during the **2nd Session of the 36th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 1st June 2026.
Club President, Ang Tong Kai, stated that life members with at least one year of membership are eligible to apply for their children. Each student may apply for only one award, with the exception of an additional incentive available for those who achieved an "A" in the Chinese Language subject in government examinations.
The University Award is open to children of members who completed a Bachelor’s degree or higher from local or overseas universities in 2025. Applicants must provide a copy of their degree certificate as proof; eligible candidates will receive a one-time reward.
The closing date for both categories is 10th May 2026. This year, the club has transitioned to online application. Interested members may visit https://bit.ly/2026ppcstudygrant to review the guidelines and submit their forms

The Penang Press Club will hold its 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Elections on 1st June 2026, at 8pm in the 9th floor function room of St. Giles Wembley Hotel, Penang.
Secretary Khoo Boo Chye reminds members that any resolutions must be submitted in writing to the Secretary by 22nd May 2026. Proponents must attend the meeting in person to present their resolutions. Submissions can be emailed to pgpressclub@gmail.com and simonkhoo1007@gmail.com.
